Chapter 1

"Honestly, Addison Graham, I don't give a shit," Zac sighed as he turned back to the TV before him and resumed playing his newest PS2 game.

"But, ZAC!!" Addie whined. "I don't want to be the only girl there without a date."

"Well, maybe if you weren't such an uptight bitch, then you could find a real boyfriend instead of hanging around me trying to get my sympathy," Zac replied.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Addie pouted as she sat down on the couch beside Zac and stared at him intently.

Zac rolled his eyes and gave her a sideways glance. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you annoy the hell out of me and have made me miserable for as long as I can remember."

"How have I made you miserable?" Addie asked.

"Well, you're here right now, aren't you?" Zac answered with a smirk.

"Fuck you, Zachary Hanson," Addie replied as she stood up. "You always have to be so damn sarcastic. Can't you ever be serious?"

"Not unless it's really necessary," Zac replied still smirking.

"You're such an asshole," Addie spat as she walked over to the television and turned it off - therefore ruining his game, which he happened to be winning.

Zac jumped up quickly. "Hey! Why the hell did you do that?" he demanded.

"Because you were being an ass," Addie replied rolling her eyes. "Besides, I'm trying to ask you for a favor."

"Well, as far as I'm concerned, you can take your favor and fuck yourself with it," Zac glared. "I don't know who you think you are coming into my home and doing whatever the hell you want!"

"Who do I think I am?" Addie replied with a grin. "Why I am the daughter of your mother's best friend. And your family just so happens to love me to pieces."

"I'd like to rip you to pieces," Zac glared crossing his arms over his chest.

"Zac, I'm just asking you to do me this one favor!" Addie sighed.

"Why should I do you any favors?" Zac asked. "You've done nothing but ruin my day so far."

"How have I ruined your day?" Addie asked.

"The one day that I thought I'd have the house to myself to play this new video game and do absolutely nothing without any interruptions, you have to come over here whining because your sorry ass can't find a date!" Zac exclaimed.

"Well, I'm sorry that I make you so miserable and ruined your fucking day!" Addie exclaimed glaring at him as she threw her hands up in the air. "I thought I was your friend, but it looks like I was wrong. Instead I guess I succeeded in ruining your oh so important plans. All I wanted was for you to go to the party with me so I wouldn't feel stupid going alone. Please forgive me for thinking that you might care about someone other than yourself!"

"Oh, don't go making me out to be the bad guy here!" Zac replied. "I'm only your friend when you want something from me."

"Zac, that is not true!" Addie exclaimed as she picked up her jacket. "Ya know what? Just forget it. Forget I ever asked! I'll leave so you can get back to your important game of whatever the hell it is!" She pulled on her jacket and headed toward the front door.

Zac rolled his eyes and sighed. He didn't want to go after her, but he knew it was only the right thing to do. If Addie left the house pissed off at him, then he'd never hear the end of it from her. She could hold a grudge like know one else.

"Addie, wait!" Zac said hurrying over to the door as grabbing her arm before she had a chance to open it.

"What?" she spat glaring up at him. Her green eyes boring into his soft brown ones.

"I'll go to the stupid party with you," he sighed.

"No, I don't want to ruin your day anymore than I already have," Addie replied as she pulled her arm out of his grasp.

Zac rolled his eyes. "Addie, you haven't ruined my day," he said softly. "I was just pissed because you turned off my game."

Addie looked down at her feet and mumbled. "Sorry about that."

Zac shrugged. "So, what time is this oh so important party?" he asked softly.

"It starts at seven," she replied glancing up to meet his eyes briefly. "But you really don't have to go. It's not that big of a deal."

"Whatever, Addison," Zac grinned. "It has to be a pretty damn big deal if you're desperate enough to take me as your date."

"So, you'll really go with me?" Addie asked uncertainly.

"Yeah, I have nothing better to do anyway," he shrugged. "Besides, it can't be that bad. I'll pick you up at 6:30, okay?"

Addie let a small smile creep across her face. "Okay," she nodded. "Thank you, Zac. I owe you."

"Yeah, well, I'll just add this IOU to the list," Zac replied.

"It's not my fault you never ask me to do you any favors," Addie pointed out.

"Yeah, well, when I'm finally ready to cash in on all of these IOUs, I'm gonna make it something worth remembering," Zac grinned.

Addie rolled her eyes. "I bet you will," she commented as she reached for the door. "I'll see you at 6:30."

--

"You're late," Addie said matter of factly as she slid into the passengers seat and buckled her seat belt.

"Yeah, well, I'm here, aren't I?" he replied as he shifted the car into gear and headed for the party.

The ride there was silent as Zac drove. They listened to the soft hum of the radio as Zac drummed his fingers along with the beat of the songs.

A short time later Zac pulled into a crowded driveway and they both got out. Addie took a deep breath as they reached the front door.

"Nervous or something?" Zac grinned.

"No," she said swatting him in the stomach as she opened the door and stepped into the already crowded house.

Zac coughed as he stepped inside behind Addie. The house reeked of smoke and the music was blaring.

"I think they started this party without us," Zac commented.

"Shut up," Addie replied rolling her eyes as Zac followed her into the crowded living room.

Addie looked around the smoky room and tried to see if she recognized anyone but saw no one she knew. She glanced over her shoulder as she tried to make her way through the crowded living room to make sure that Zac was still with her. Once they made it across the room, Addie recognized the hostess of the party and walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hey, Addie!" Brianna smiled. "You made it!"

"Yeah," she nodded with a slight shrug. She motioned toward Zac. "This is my friend, Zac. Zac, this is Brianna."

Brianna looked him up and down before a huge grin spread across her face. "Hello you," she said darting her tongue out and licking her lips seductively. "Very nice to meet you."

Zac grinned back. "Likewise," he replied.

Addie inwardly scolded herself for introducing Zac to Brianna. She should have known that if she introduced them, then she most likely wouldn't see Zac again until it was time to leave because when Brianna saw something she wanted, she got it. And from the looks of things, she wanted Zac.

"I'm going to go get something to drink," Addie commented looking up at Zac. "You want something?"

"Sure," he nodded glancing at her before he looked back at Brianna, the beautiful blonde standing before him.

Addie sighed as she made her way into the kitchen. She shimmied her way through the abundant amount of people hanging around and finally made it into the kitchen.

Addie groaned inwardly as she tried to find something with the least amount of alcohol as possible. She wasn't fond of driving at night, so she didn't want to let Zac drink too much and get wasted.

After finally settling on some wine coolers, she headed back into the living room. She went back to where she had left Zac with Brianna, but they were gone. She scanned the room, but saw no sign of them.

She rolled her eyes as she as fell into a chair against the wall and opened her wine cooler and began to sip on it. She scolded herself for even coming to this party. She should have known that Zac would ditch her as soon as they arrived and he found himself a piece of ass. But she couldn't really be mad at him. He wasn't her boyfriend. He wasn't even really her date. He was just tagging along so that she wouldn't show up alone. He'd held up his end of the bargain, so she decided she would just wait there until he came back.

"Can you believe she actually came?" the blonde standing in front of him commented to the redhead beside her. Zac sighed as he leaned is body against the wall and let his head fall back. He had just managed to escape the wrath of Brianna. Sure she was good looking, but the second Addie had left Zac knew that there was no way he was hooking up with her.

"Good, Addie's gone, let's get out of here," she had said grabbing his hand and pulling him from the room.

"Where are we going?" Zac asked in confusion.

"I don't know … somewhere … anywhere …" she grinned as she pressed her body against his. "How about upstairs?" she whispered as she brushed her lips against his neck.

"Um …" Zac said uncomfortably as he gently pushed her away. "I'm here with Addie, and I don't think she'd appreciate that very much."

"Oh, who cares what Addie thinks? You're not actually with her," she commented rolling her eyes. "Besides, I wouldn't hang around her too much…"

"Why's that?" Zac asked raising an eyebrow curiously.

"'Cause she's …ya know …" Brianna trailed off.

"No, I don't know. Why don't you tell me?" Zac replied crossing his arms over his chest and awaiting her reply.

"Well …she's weird for one …" Brianna replied rolling her eyes.

"How's she weird?" Zac asked knitting his eyebrows together.

"I dunno … everyone says that she's … well … not into guys," Brianna explained.

"What?" Zac nearly laughed at the absurdity of her statement. "You can't be serious."

"Well, that's what everyone says …" Brianna replied. "She never talks to any guys …"

"Um, she talks to me," Zac replied. "And the last time I checked I was still a guy."

"That you definitely are," Brianna replied letting her eyes do a quick sweep over his body again.

"So, people really think she's a …lesbian?" Zac asked uncertainly.

Brianna nodded.

"So, if no one likes her and thinks she's weird, then why was she invited to the party?" Zac asked.

"Well, no one thought she'd actually come … I mean, especially after all of the rumors about her …" Brianna shrugged.

"So you just invited her as a joke?" Zac asked.

"I guess you could say that," Brianna replied tilting her head to the side as she took a step closer to him closing in the space. "Can we go upstairs now?"

"No, we can't," Zac replied before pushing her gently to the side and walking away.

"Can I believe who came?" the redhead replied.

"Addie Graham," the blonde replied. "She has some nerve after what people are saying about her."

Zac's ear perked up when he head Addie's name.

"Do you really believe what people are saying?" the redhead asked. "I mean, so what she doesn't have a boyfriend or talk to that many guys. Maybe she's just shy …"

'Addie? Shy?' Zac thought. He'd never really thought of her as shy. Of course he'd never seen her in the school environment since he himself had been home-schooled. He'd always seen the amicable, sassy side of Addie. He never thought about what she was like when she wasn't around him and his family.

"She came here with a guy, ya know?" the blonde commented. "Nice looking too. I wonder how much she had to pay him to get him here," she added with a laugh.

The girl's comment made Zac's blood boil. He didn't know why he cared so much, but he didn't like hearing these people talk badly about Addie.

"She didn't pay me a damn thing," Zac spoke without thinking causing the girls standing in front of him to jump and turn and look at him. "And just where are your dates at?"

The girls stood quietly as if they were stunned.

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Zac growled rolling his eyes before he went to search for Addie.

He finally found her sitting quietly on a chair by the wall sipping on a wine cooler. She looked up when he approached her.

"Oh, hey, there you are," she said as she handed him the other wine cooler.

He took it and opened it before nearly gulping back the whole thing at once. Addie gave him a curious look as he swallowed the last of his drink and sat the bottle on a table nearby.

He held out his hand to her and said, "Come on."

She reluctantly took his hand and stood up. "Where are we going?" she asked.

"We're gonna dance," he said before pulling her out into the middle of the room where a few other people were dancing. The music was loud and upbeat, but the second Addie heard the word 'dance' she tried to pull away from him.

"Zac, you know I can't dance!" she hissed.

"Just follow my lead," he said as he pulled her body close and placed his hands on her hips and began to move them to the beat of the music as he did the same.

"Why aren't you off with Brianna?" she wondered aloud.

"Because I came here with you and we have some rumors to set straight," he replied.

She looked up into his eyes with worry. "You've heard the rumors?" she asked.

"Yeah, why didn't you tell me? Then I wouldn't have been such an ass about coming tonight," he commented.

"Yeah, like I really wanted to repeat what people were saying about me," she said rolling her eyes.

"Don't worry," he whispered into her ear. "By the end of the night no one's going to be questioning her sexual preference," he said before turning her around and pressing her back against his chest and lifting her arms above her head and wrapping them around his neck.

"What are you doing?" she asked uncomfortably. She could already tell that people were watching as Zac forced her to move her body to the beat of the music.

"We're just gonna give everyone a little show," he commented. "Just trust me on this okay?"

She looked up over her shoulder and into his soulful brown eyes. "Okay, I trust you," she said softly. "Just don't do anything too … extreme, okay?"

"I won't," he grinned before leaning down and capturing her bottom lip between his. He caught her off guard, but she quickly recovered and let her eyes fall shut as he sucked on her bottom lip a moment longer before moving down her to her neck.

Zac let his hands glide down her sides to her stomach. He caressed the exposed skin for a moment before moving his left hand up under her shirt to caress her seemingly burning skin. She felt like she was on fire. She could feel the weight of people's stare on her and Zac as he caressed her skin and pushed her shirt up to expose the rest of her stomach as their bodies seemed to rock back and forth, front to back, side to side to the tempo of the blaring music.

Zac wasn't quite sure what he thought he was doing, but he'd been so pissed when he heard those girls talking about Addie. He wanted to show them all that they were wrong. He wasn't quite sure what dancing around groping her in front of everyone was going to prove, but as he felt his pants tighten as he rubbed his nether regions against her back, he knew that he wasn't ready to stop just yet.

He sucked gently at her neck as he right hand remained planted on her hip and his left traveled across her flat belly and up to her breasts. He heard her take a sharp intake of breath when he cupped her left breast in his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. He was half scared that she was going to pull away and slap him and call him a pervert, but he was even more scared that he might not get to finish what he had started.

He covered her breast with his hand and could feel the tight nub of her nipple poking through. "Zac," she whispered softly as his right hand left her hip and traveling to the button of her skirt.

"Hmm," he moaned into her ear as he popped open the button effortlessly.

"Don't let them see me naked, okay?" she said just above a whisper as he slipped his hand down the front of her skirt and down the front of her panties.

"I won't, baby," he whispered with a grin as felt her wetness on his fingertips.

She moaned when his fingers came in contact with the hot skin between her legs.

"You like that, baby?" he whispered breathlessly as he dipped one finger into her burning core.

"Oh, god, yeah," she moaned pressing her body back against him rubbing against his hardness.

He slipped another finger into her caressing her walls as he massaged her breast with the other hand and kissed her neck. He knew that she'd never done anything like this before. She was incredibly tight and he knew that she would be ready to let it all out at any moment.

"I want you to cum for me," he whispered as he rubbed her clit with the pad of his thumb.

"Oh, Zac," Addie whimpered as she weaved her fingers into his hair as he continued to rub her clit. "This feels so … so good …" she moaned. "I think I'm gonna …"

She didn't even have a chance to finish. She came around his fingers crying out loudly. If anyone hadn't noticed what was going on before, her loud moaning certainly would have grabbed their attention.

Zac removed his hand from her underwear as she fell back against him weakly. He wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her from falling over.

She let out a heavy sigh before she finally opened her eyes and looked up at his face. "That was amazing," she said with a sleepy grin.

"Yeah, it was," he grinned as he gave her a quick peck on the lips. "Let's go upstairs and get you cleaned up."

"Okay," she nodded as he let go of her waist and took her by the hand. Not until Zac began to lead her from the room did she look at the faces of everyone that had been watching. They all seemed to be in a state of shock because no one said a word. They simply stared as Zac and Addie ascended the stairs and disappeared into the bathroom.

"Oh my god, I can't believe we just did that!" Addie exclaimed as she sat down on the toilet and began to giggle.

Zac laughed as he turned on the sink and splashed his sweaty face with some water. "That was pretty wild," he commented. "I was afraid you were going to kill me for doing that."

"No way!" Addie giggled. "That was awesome," she added as her cheeks grew red and she looked down at the floor for a moment before gaining enough courage to look back at his face. "Thank you … for that …for making everyone see that I'm not … ya know …" she trailed off as her eyes dropped back down to the floor.

"It wasn't that big of a deal. I was just trying to help," he shrugged as he leaned against the sink. "Why didn't you ever say anything about having problems at school though?" he asked.

She shrugged. "Who was I gonna tell? My mom? Yeah, right," Addie said rolling her eyes. "I just tried to ignore them."

"You could have told me," Zac commented.

"I didn't want to make your life any more miserable than I already have," she smirked.

"Hey, I told you that I didn't mean that," Zac said.

"I know," she nodded. "I just didn't want to tell anyone, that's why I never said anything."

"Addie, I know I haven't been that great of a friend to you, but you can talk to me anytime - especially when people are giving you a hard time. I can kick their asses for you," Zac commented.

Addie smiled up at him. "Yeah, you probably could," she nodded noting how well tones his arms were.

"Promise me you'll talk to me if something like this comes up again?" Zac asked.

Addie nodded. "I promise," she whispered.

"Now can I get hug?" he grinned.

"Of course," she smiled as she stood up and wrapped her arms around his middle.
